Cassie,

I have known you since the day you were born. You were one of my first friends, and you taught me how to truly care and live with abandon. It doesn't matter where you are in this world or what you are going through, I will always care for you. There is not a day that goes by in which I don't think about you. I wish more than anything in this world that you were not burdened by this addiction, this thing that is taking control of your life. You deserve so much more than to be chained to this. The last time I saw you, you told me you did not want to commit suicide, but you wanted to die so that you could be free from your addiction. It broke me into a million pieces. I don't know how it got to this place. We used to sit in my room and talk forever and jump on couches together, but the last time we tried to talk you were dozing off in-between words because of these shackles that are bound to you. I wish that I could help. I wish that I was there to stop you the first time. I wish so many things for you. I want you to be happy, healthy, and care-free again. I want my friend back because those chains, they take you away from the people that care about you. And I know with all my heart that this is not you, but it still hurts. I wish those bonds were broken. I wish you didn't feel the need to leave this life because of this addiction. I wish we could sit in my room and talk together for hours. I wish you were free. I love you, Cassie. You can make it through this.
