Love Story

At first, she didn't even realize that he was someone that she could love. He was a stranger, someone that didn't even cross her mind. He was just some guy...

The first connection? One swipe. The second? One like. The third? A comment. This comment made her feel so special, so seen, so beautiful. It was her turn to make the move. She messaged him and told him how much that meant to her.

A few weeks later he worked up the courage to ask her for coffee. She was honored, but nervous. She rarely went out with strangers, but something felt different this time.

The coffee date was euphoric. Her heart sang with happiness. He was smart, extremely handsome, charming, and different than anyone she had ever met.

They fell fast. They always wanted to be around each other. They could talk for hours and never get bored. There was a passion, honesty, communication... fire.

It was everything she could have ever wanted. Her life felt like a movie. There were flowers, acts of kindness, and all of the little things that make a relationship in a movie seem too good to be true. He did everything to try and make her happy.

But life isn't a movie. They couldn't be together forever because, well, he was leaving. She had to decide if she should let herself fall more to ultimately end up being hurt.

When this all started, she didn't know that he was going to leave. She let every wall down because she could trust him. But she soon found out the truth, and it was too late to spare those feelings. What was she to do? He was an amazing man (probably one of the best she has ever met), but she knew it wasn't going to last.

She didn't know how he could say, " I love you," when he knew he was going to leave. But he did... and she did.

Maybe she will decide to let him go. Maybe she will just accept that this will end and enjoy the time they do have together. Either way, she is going to end up broken.

That is the thing about reality... It never can be perfect forever.
